A twist on the classic BBQ ribs recipe, with a hint of garlic and ginger, making it a great recipe for the next tailgate.
Ingredients
- 4lbs ribs
- 6 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 piece chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp pepper
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp asian fish sauce
For the sauce
- 4 tbsp salt
- 4 tbsp pepper
- 4 limes, cut in halves
Directions
- Cut the rib racks in half.
- Create a paste with the spices.
- Place ribs in a baking dish or tray.
- Pound garlic, ginger, sugar, 1tbsp salt and black pepper with a mortar. Slowly add honey, soy sauce and fish sauce.
- Spread paste over ribs on both sides and let marinate in fridge between 2-4 hours.
- Prepare sauce ingredients by placing 1tsp salt and 1tsp white pepper by 4 bowls for dipping sauce and place limes next to each bowl.
- Prepare grill by setting to medium temp.
- Place ribs onto grill and cook until golden brown.
- Remove ribs from heat once fully cooked and cut into individual ribs. Squeeze lime juice into bowls of salt and white pepper and stir until mixed,
- Glaze ribs with the mixture.
- Serve to guests and watch their eyes glaze over
