The Sweet-Hot Sauce makes these ribs a nice change of pace from the standard BBQ ribs you might routinely eat.
Ingredients
- 2tbsp ground ginger
- 1tsp salt
- 1tsp black pepper
- 1/2tsp dried crushed red pepper
- 3 slabs pork ribs
- 2 Limes
Directions
- Combine ginger, salt, pepper, and red pepper
- Rinse and dry ribs and make sure to remove membrane from back of ribs
- Rub ribs with limes and take your mixture from the first step and pat into meat, making sure to cover all sides
- Wrap ribs with plastic wrap and place in plastic bag
- Seal and cover for 8 hours in fridge
- Before you grill, let ribs sit for 30 minutes to thaw out
- Remove plastic wrap and heat grill
- Grill while covered for 40 minutes
- Grill for an additional 40 minutes and repositioning the ribs
- Reposition again and grill for another 40 minutes
- Low grill temp to medium heat and cook for another 30 minutes
- Baste with the sauce you made previously
- Remove from grill and let stand for 10 minutes at least
