In Game

The Curve are the only team in town, and the people of Altoona love the Curve, creating one of the best in-game atmospheres in Double-A. Just about everyone you encounter at a Curve game is a big fan of the team and lives and dies with the team. The fans here in Altoona know all about the team and players creating one of the best experiences in Double-A.

The excellent fan support isn’t the only thing that makes attending a Curve game a fun experience. All around the park you’ll see tributes to former Curve greats including the Road to the Show Board and no trip to PNG Field is complete without checking out the roller coaster in right field.

Families especially will have a fantastic time attending a Curve game as the team provides tons of family entertainment. PNG Park is home to not one, but two kids play areas so no matter what your kids’ ages are they’ll have a blast when attending a Curve game. The Curve also have five fun mascots and let kids run the bases after every weekend home game.

Things to check out

Road to the Show Board

Check out the “Road to the Show Board” to see all the former Curve players who have made their way to the major leagues. The board is a fun thing to check out especially if you’re a fan of the Curve’s parent club the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Kids Play Areas

The Altoona Curve offer not one, but two kids play areas. The Begin With Us Toddler Area is located on the upper concourse behind home plate and is the perfect place to take young kids, while the older kids will love the Kids’ Fun Zone down the right field line. No matter how old your kids are, they’ll enjoy the kids play areas at PNG Field.

Opening Day Banners

Around PNG Field are banners honoring all of the Curve’s opening day rosters. Take a walk around the concourse to check them all out before the game.

Skyliner Roller Coaster

One of the defining features of PNG Field is the roller coaster in right field. The Skyliner is part of Lakemont Park, and at night when it’s lit up it provides a fun backdrop to the game.

Team Shop

If you're looking for some Curve gear, then stop by the team shop. The team shop offers a wide selection of merchandise including caps, jerseys, pennants, and much more.

Kids Run the Bases

Take part in the Kids Run the Bases after every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday game. Kids 14 and under are invited to run the bases after the game just like their favorite players making it a fun event for young fans.


The Altoona Curve have five mascots including Steamer, Al Tuna, Diesel Dog, Tenacious, and Loco. The Curve’s newest mascot Loco was introduced in 2015 and is already making quite the name for himself. Keep an eye out for all of the Curve’s mascots during your visit to PNG Field.
