Bowling Green Falcons vs Toledo Rockets

Rival Team: Toledo Rockets

There is no better time to attend a Bowling Green basketball game then when the Falcons take on archrivals Toledo. The rivalry between the two carries over from the gridiron to the hardwood, and you better believe there are tons of bragging rights on the line when these two meet. Bowling Green and Toledo absolutely hate each other, so don’t miss your chance to see one of the fiercest rivalries in the MAC.

Bowling Green Falcons vs Kent State Golden Flashes

Rival Team: Kent State Golden Flashes

The rivalry between Bowling Green and Kent State may not be as heated as the Bowling Green-Toledo rivalry, but that doesn’t mean you won’t see an incredible matchup when attending a game between the Falcons and Golden Flash. There is no love lost between these two Ohio-based schools, so make sure to be in attendance when Kent State comes to the Stroh Center.

Bowling Green Falcons Stadium Guide

In Game

The state-of-the-art Stroh Center is the newest venue in the MAC and an excellent place to take in a college hoops game. The facility offers an intimate atmosphere that is reminiscent of the Falcons basketball team’s previous facility Anderson Arena. No matter where you’re sitting, you’ll feel like you’re right on top of the action when attending a game at the Stroh Center.

In addition to providing a cozy atmosphere, the Stroh Center also does an outstanding job of showing off the history of the Falcons basketball program and the athletics department. Above the court, you’ll see a variety of banners honoring the best teams and athletes in Falcons history, and if that’s not enough Falcons history for you, the Stroh Center is also home to the Bowling Green Hall of Fame.

Those of you looking to grab a bite to eat or something to drink after the game will want to check out downtown Bowling Green. Downtown is home to several Bowling Green student favorites including Mr. Spots, Reverend’s, and Pollyeyes. There’s a lot to check out downtown making it the perfect place to stop for some post game entertainment.

You’ll have a great time visiting Bowling Green where the new arena and downtown festivities create a fun experience you’ll want to re-live soon.

Take a peek at the banners to remember the glory days of Bowling Green basketball.

Tradition Mural

Make sure to check out the Bowling Green tradition mural when attending a game at the Stroh Center. The mural does an excellent job of showcasing all three sports that call the Stroh Center home.

Fight Songs

  2. Ay Ziggy Zoomba

Ay Ziggy Zoomba is Bowling Green’s unofficial fight song. Gilbert Fox, an Air Force bombardier in World War II, brought a loose translation of a Zulu war chant back with him, and since its introduction in 1946 to a campus spirit assembly, it has kept its place in BGSU history.
