Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena may not be the newest arena in the AHL, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a great place to take in a game. The venue offers fantastic sight lines all around the arena and gives off an old school 70s vibe creating a unique atmosphere that is fun for longtime hockey fans.

The fans inside the arena are also incredible. Binghamton has a long hockey history, and you’ll find plenty of old timers at the game who love to talk hockey and know all about its history in the city.

Talking to the fans isn’t the only way for you to learn more about the history of hockey in Binghamton. The Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame is a must-see for anyone taking in a game here. The Hall of Fame contains plaques dedicated to a wide variety of hockey legends from the area including Peter Laviolette and Mike Dunham.

During your trip to Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena, make sure to stop by the veterans’ memorial on the arena’s northwest corner. The memorial honors those from the area who lost their lives serving our country and is an excellent tribute to these brave men and women.

Hanging from the rafters are banners celebrating Binghamton’s hockey history. The banners celebrate former Binghamton clubs that won division, conference, and AHL championships, so take them all in and envision the Devils winning their first championship in Binghamton.
