History

The Eastern League’s Bowie Baysox play their home games at Prince George’s Stadium in Bowie, Maryland. The 10,000-seat stadium opened in 1994 and cost $10 million to build. The ballpark is 309 ft to left field, 405 ft to center field, and 309 ft to right field.

In addition to being the home of the Bowie Baysox, Prince George’s Stadium has also hosted the Double-A All-Star Game twice and was the site of the 2002 Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game. Additionally, the ballpark hosted the United States Congressional Baseball Game from 1995 to 2004, and it hosts the annual Allen Iverson charity softball game. Outside of sports, Prince George’s Stadium is home to a drive-in theatre in the left field parking lot.
