The Hornet Walk takes place two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff in the center lane of Lot 8 and is an excellent way to get into the Hornets gameday spirit. The Hornet Walk provides you with the opportunity to give the team some last minute inspiration before the game.

Keep an eye out for the cannon at Hornets games. The cannon is fired after Hornets scores and is a can’t-miss part of any game, so catch a glimpse of it at the game.
3. Sacramento State Marching Band
Enjoy the performance of the Sacramento State Marching Band when attending a Hornets football game. The band puts on a great show and is a big part of every Hornets game.
4. Causeway Classic
The Causeway Classic between Sacramento State and UC Davis is the biggest game of the year on the Hornets calendar. The two California-based rivals have played every year since 1954, and in 1961 the Causeway Carriage trophy was added to the rivalry. You won’t want to miss it when the Hornets and Aggies clash, so make sure to be in attendance when UC Davis comes to town.
5. Herky the Hornet
Herky the Hornet gets into all kinds of shenanigans at Sacramento football games and is a must-see for fans young and old. Keep an eye out for Herky as you never know what he’ll do next.
6. Cheerleaders
The Sacramento State cheerleaders pump up the crowd throughout the game with their cheers and chants. Join in the cheers and help give the Hornets as much of a home field advantage as possible.
