A Charlotte Knights game offers plenty of pregame entertainment, so arrive early and get the most out of your visit to BB&T Ballpark. The Charlotte Knights not only allow tailgating, but they encourage it in Lot 6 making it the perfect place to tailgate before the game. In Lot 6 you’ll meet lots of fellow fans and make friends quickly making an excellent place to party before the game.

Being that this is Charlotte, barbecue is the food of choice and can be found everywhere you look. If you want to enjoy some delicious barbecue then just bring something to share, and you’ll likely find someone who is willing to share.

If you’re not into grilling out and tailgating, then take the time to explore the Uptown neighborhood and all the nearby bars and restaurants. Uptown is home to tons of great places to grab a bite to eat or drink making pregaming before a Knights game one of the best experiences in Minor League Baseball.

Lastly, take some time to check out the Home Run Statue and commemorative bricks before the game. Both are excellent things to see on your way into the ballpark, so make sure to enjoy everything BB&T Ballpark and the surrounding neighborhood has to offer.

Home Run Statue

Snap a picture with the Home Run Statue before the Knights take the field. The statue designed by Tom Ogburn depicts young fans trying to catch a home run ball and is a must-see when attending a Knights game.
