1. Colorado Buffaloes Athletic Hall of Fame
Check out the Colorado Buffaloes Athletic Hall of Fame to learn more about all of the best athletes in CU history. The hall of fame has a plaque for each athlete inducted and is a must-see for Buffaloes fans as well as college sports fans.
2. C-Unit
The Buffaloes student section was started in 2004 and has quickly made quite a name for themselves. The students give the Buffaloes a ton of support with their chants and cheers and also travel well when the team hits the road. If you thought the C-Unit was loud when they visited your team’s arena, just wait until you see them at home.
3. Banners
All around the Coors Events Center are banners honoring the best players and teams in CU basketball and volleyball history. Take some time to take them all in and remember all of your fondest Buffaloes memories.
4. Buffalo Statue
Stop by the buffalo statue outside the Coors Events Center and snap a pic. The statue is a must-see for anyone attending an event at the Coors Events Center, and a picture with the statue is a great keepsake.
5. UC Pep Band
The Golden Buffalo Marching Band, is a big part of a CU football game, and the UC Pep Band is no different when it comes to basketball games. The UC Pep Band creates an excellent atmosphere and goes a long way in making a Colorado basketball game a special experience.
6. Chip
Since Colorado’s famous mascot Ralphie can’t make an appearance at basketball games, you’ll instead be entertained by the Chip the school’s costumed buffalo mascot. While he’s no Ralphie, Chip puts on an incredible show at Buffaloes basketball games and has received many accolades over the years, being named to the 2003 Capital One All-America Mascot Team and winning the 2009 and 2010 UCA Mascot National Championships. Look out for Chip and enjoy his antics when attending a CU basketball game.
7. Beer Garden and Pre-Game Club Room
Those of you looking to grab a drink at a Colorado Buffaloes basketball game will be in luck as there is a beer garden located on the east and west sides. The Pre-Game Club Room is also an excellent place to grab a drink, so if you don’t have a chance to hit the bars before the game don’t worry as there is plenty to drink inside the Coors Events Center.
8. Souvenir Shop
If you want to pick up a souvenir from your trip then there is no better place to do so than the Souvenir Shop inside the Coors Events Center. Here you’ll find all kinds of Buffaloes gear including t-shirts, hats, and even mini basketballs.
9. “Go Buffs” Chant
The crowd really gets riled up during the “Go Buffs” chant, which features some colorful language. If you really want to get into the Colorado gameday spirit then join in on this rowdy chant.
10. Colorado-Colorado State Rivalry
Colorado and Colorado State have a fierce in-state rivalry. Every matchup between the Buffaloes and Rams is a can’t miss event regardless of the sport. There are always lots of bragging rights when these two Colorado-based rivals meet, so make sure to attend the annual Colorado-Colorado State game.
