History

Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi, Texas is the home of the Texas League’s Corpus Christi Hooks. The $27 million ballpark opened in 2005, and it holds a capacity of 7,050. Whataburger Field’s dimensions are 315 ft to left field, 400 ft to center field, and 325 ft to right field.

Whataburger Field features 5,050 fixed seats, a 2,000-seat grass berm, and 19 luxury suites.

In addition to being the home of the Corpus Christi Hooks, Whataburger Field is also the home of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders baseball team. The ballpark also hosted the 2007 Texas League All-Star Game and was the site of a few Houston Dynamo games over the years, including a 2-1 win against the Laredo Heat on June 10, 2010, and a friendly against in-state rivals FC Dallas on February 12, 2011.
