EMU fans take the to the fields surrounding Rynearson Stadium on Saturdays out fellow fans before the game. The fans deck themselves out in green, set up small DJ tents in the back of pickup trucks, and turn the grass into a dance floor throughout the fall to prepare to cheer on their Eagles to victory.  

The fields surrounding the east and west gates of the stadium are the most popular party spots. They’ll offer you a great place to meet other fans who’ll be able to bring you up to speed on the all that is going on with Eastern Michigan football. The atmosphere around the tailgate is much tamer than some other schools, so feel free to bring the family for a relaxing day of football. You’ll have a great time setting up the grill and listening to the drumline as they put on a quick pregame show to boost the crowd’s energy before kickoff.  
Eastern Michigan offers plenty for the entire family, so don’t hesitate to come out for a fun day of college football.

Turn Up the Green

When attending a game at Eastern Michigan make sure to stop by Turn Up the Green where you’ll be able to meet the team before the game. The spirit squad and the Pride of the Peninsula band lead the rally getting both the fans and players turned up before another hard fought game of Eagles football. Stop by the Convocation Center two hours before the game to take part in this outstanding game day tradition.

Tailgate Town

Tailgate Town takes place before every game day and is located across from the Convocation Center. There are quite a few spirited fans out at Tailgate Town each weekend rocking with the DJ and getting each other pumped up for kickoff, so stop by and join in the festivities when tailgating at Eastern Michigan.

Family Fun Zone

The Family Fun Zone opens three hours before kickoff and is located just outside of the main entrance to the stadium at gate 2. Take the kids over to the Fun Zone where they’ll be able to enjoy a giant obstacle course, bounce houses, face painting, and many more fun kids activities.
