Erie SeaWolves Tailgate Guide

Atmosphere

UPMC Park is located in downtown Erie meaning you won’t find a lot of traditional tailgating around the ballpark. That said there are plenty of excellent bars and restaurants nearby to check out. Sluggers Bar & Grill is located right across the street from the stadium, and if you venture a bit further, you’ll find area favorites including Calamari’s Squid Row and Plymouth Tavern among others.

Additionally, take some time before the game to see the frog statue outside UPMC Park’s main entrance. I’m not sure the significance of the frog, but fans young and old will have a fun time getting their picture taken with it.

Arrive at a SeaWolves game early so you can enjoy downtown Erie before the game.

Traditions

Frog Statue

The kids will love the statue of a frog with a baseball bat outside the stadium. The sculpture presents an excellent photo op, so snap a picture of yourself with the frog before entering the ballpark.
