In Game

Georgia Tech’s Alexander Memorial Coliseum underwent a  $45 million renovation from 2011 to 2012, and the new state of the art facility is one of the best venues in the ACC. The recently renamed Hank McCamish Pavilion is breathtaking, and a must see for any college basketball fan.

Georgia Tech’s newly renovated arena offers beautiful open concourses and incredible views no matter you’re seated. The sightlines here are improved, although they were already pretty good, and more importantly, the video board has been significantly improved giving you a clear picture of all the action that happened on the court.

In addition to a newly renovated arena, you’ll find the same passionate Georgia Tech crowd. Yellow Jackets fans live and die with their team, and you’ll see plenty of Yellow Jackets pride on display. The Goldfellas are especially vocal in their support of the team, so make sure to keep an eye out for them when attending a Yellow Jackets game.

Lastly, McCamish Pavilion is in downtown Atlanta, so you’ll have no problem finding pre and post game entertainment. Atlanta is home to tons of tourist attractions including the World of Coca-Cola, the CNN Tower, and the College Football Hall of Fame. If you’re looking to get the full Georgia Tech experience, though, make sure to stop by the Varsity and grab a burger and shake.

The newly renovated McCamish Pavilion is a beautiful arena that every college basketball fan should take in at least once, and you’ll have a great time experiencing all Atlanta has to offer.

Fight Songs

  1. Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech

I’m a Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer,
A helluva, helluva, helluva, hell of an engineer,
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear,
I’m a Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer.

Oh, if I had a daughter, sir, I’d dress her in White and Gold,
And put her on the campus, to cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I’ll tell you what he’d do.
He would yell, “To Hell with Georgia,” like his daddy used to do.

Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum and sugar three thousand pounds,
A college bell to put it in and a clapper to stir it around.
I’d drink to all good fellows who come from far and near.
I’m a ramblin’, gamblin’, hell of an engineer.

  2. Up with the White and Gold

So then it’s up with the White and Gold
Down with the Red and the Black
Georgia Tech is out for a victory
We’ll drop our battle axe on Georgia’s head, CHOP!
When we meet her our team will surely beat her
Down on old Georgia’s farm there’ll be no sound
When our bow wows rip through the air
When the battle is over Georgia’s team will be found
With the Yellow Jackets swarming around.

  3. Budweiser Song

    Go Georgia Tech!
    Go Georgia Tech!
    Go Georgia Tech!
    Go Georgia Tech!
When you say Bud…weiser, you’ve said it all!

  4. Alma Mater

Oh, sons of Tech, arise, behold!

The banner as it reigns supreme,

For from on high the White and Gold

    Waves in its triumphant gleam.

The spirit of the cheering throng

    Resounds with joy revealing

A brotherhood in praise and song,

In memory of the days gone by.

    Oh, Scion of the Southland!

In our hearts you shall forever fly.
We cherish thoughts so dear for thee,

Oh, Alma Mater, in our prayer.

We plead for you in victory,

And in the victory we share!

But when the battle seems in vain

    Our spirits never falter,

We’re ever one in joy or pain,

And our union is a lasting bond.

    Oh! May we be united.

Till the victory of life is won.

  5. To Hell with Georgia

Don’t send my boy to MIT,
    The dying mother said.
Don’t send my boy to Emory
    I’d rather see him dead,
But send my boy to Georgia Tech
    ‘Tis better than Cornell.
And as for the University of Georgia
I’d rather see him in hell!

    **Chorus:
To Hell, to Hell, to Hell with Georgia,
To Hell, to Hell, to Hell with Georgia,
To Hell, to Hell, to Hell with Georgia,
    The cesspool of the South!

Mine eyes have seen the glory
Of the stomping of the Dogs
We will teach the poor dumb farmboys
They should stick to sloppin’ hogs
    When the Jackets are triumphant
There will be a mighty cheer
We’ll do the same next year!

    (Chorus)

On the Field between the hedges
    There arose a mighty stench,
In the Dogs’ machine the engineers
    Had thrown a monkey wrench.
    When the Jackets are triumphant
We will raise a mighty yell,
Them Dogs can GO TO HELL!!

    (Chorus)

Mine eyes have seen the glory
    Of the N.C. Double-A
    They’re investigating Georgia players
To see how much they’re paid
    After counting all the cars
    And the loans Alumni made,
    They out pay the NBA.

    (Chorus)

  6. Differential X

    Differential “X”!,

    Differential “Y”!

    “A” square, “B” square

    Integral of pi!

    Engineers touchdown!

    Engineers yell!

    Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets!

    Fight like hell!

  7. “Clempson” is a Redneck School

(to the tune of Doo Dah)

    Clempson is a redneck school

    Doo-dah, doo-dah,

    Clempson is a redneck school

    Oh de-doo-dah day.
    Gonna moo all night,

    Gonna moo all day,
    Clempson is a redneck school

    Oh de-doo dah day.
