1. World Famed Tiger Marching Band
The World Famed Tiger Marching Band is one of the best marching bands in the world and one of the few to perform at consecutive presidential inaugurations. The band is absolutely incredible, so enjoy their performance when attending a Grambling State football game.
2. Orchesis Dance Company
In addition to the marching band, you also won’t want to miss the Orchesis Dance Company’s routines. The dance team is one of the most renown dance teams in college sports and is a must-see for anyone taking in a Tigers game.
3. Bayou Classic
The Bayou Classic between Grambling State and Southern is played each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in New Orleans. The game is one of the biggest games in the SWAC and is a must-see for any Grambling State or Southern fan. The series between these two historically black universities dates back to 1932, and the Tigers hold a 22-21 lead in the all-time series. The football game isn’t the only event at the Bayou Classic as the Battle of the Bands between Grambling’s World Famed Tiger Marching Band and Southern’s Human Jukebox is arguably the bigger draw. Don’t miss the Bayou Classic as it’s one of Grambling State’s biggest events of the year.
4. New Scoreboard
Grambling State University announced an approximately $2 million renovation that will add a new scoreboard in 2017. Enjoy the new scoreboard when attending a Grambling State game at Eddie Robinson Stadium.
5. Tiger Stripe Seating Pattern
Arrive early and get a glimpse of the tiger stripe pattern in the seats. The pattern gives Eddie Robinson Stadium a unique look and is something you can’t find at just about any other stadium in the FCS.
6. State Fair Classic
The State Fair Classic takes place during the Texas State Fair and pits the Grambling Tigers against the Prairie View A&M Panthers. The game is contested at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas and dates back to 1925. However, the game has only regularly been contested between Grambling State and Prairie View A&M since the mid-1980s. You won’t want to miss the State Fair Classic, so make sure to be in attendance when the Tigers and Panthers square off.
7. Homecoming Parade
Make sure to check out the homecoming parade if you’re attending the homecoming football game. The parade is a great way to get into the Grambling State spirit before the game making it a must-see for any Tigers fan.

Keep an eye out for the Grambling Tiger when attending a Grambling State game. The mascot is a fun part of any Tigers football game especially for kids as you never know what kind of shenanigans he’ll get into next.
