Atmosphere
Kauffman Stadium may not be located in the heart of downtown like many other ballparks around the Major Leagues, but that doesn’t mean you won’t find a thriving tailgating scene here in Kansas City. There is plenty of space to tailgate outside Kauffman, which along with Arrowhead Stadium makes up the Truman Sports Complex. All you’ll see is miles and miles of tailgating space when you arrive at The K meaning you’ll have no trouble finding somewhere to set up your tailgate.
In addition to there being lots of space to tailgate, you’ll also find some of the best barbecue anywhere when tailgating before a Royals game. Barbecue is a huge part of the city’s culture, so make sure to try some during your trip to Kansas City.
Finally, Royals fans are quite friendly regardless of what team you support and love to show off their tailgates. Don’t be shy and you’ll make friends quickly at a Royals tailgate.
Traditions

Truman Sports Complex
The Truman Sports Complex is home to both Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium meaning you’ll find lots of room to tailgates in the lots surrounding the stadium. It also offers you a great opportunity to see where both the Royals and Chiefs play.
