History

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway opened in 1972 and is located 15 miles northeast of the Las Vegas Strip. The Speedway is home to several tracks including a drag strip, road course, ⅜ mile oval, and a 1.5-mile oval.

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is the site of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Kobalt 400, the NASCAR Xfinity Series Boyd Gaming 300, and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series DC Solar 350. Outside of racing, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway has hosted the Electronic Daisy Carnival since 2011.
