The Angels practice fields are next to the stadium, and practices begin between 9:30 and 10:00 am. The team takes their batting practice before the game on Field #1, which can be seen from the parking lot behind left field.

In Game

If you’re a die-hard Angels fan, then you’ll have a fantastic time attending a spring training game at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The ballpark has a uniquely Angels feel to it thanks to the abundance of Angels signage inside and outside the park. Fans will especially love the pennants hanging from the press box, which celebrate the Angels’ playoff appearances as well as the club’s 2002 World Series championship.

Those of you who are big Angels fans will also enjoy the ease with which you can secure an autograph from your favorite players. Both teams’ players usually sign along the outfield lines, and if you want to catch a specific player, it’s typically relatively easy to do when the Angels make their way from the batting practice field to the ballpark.

Once the game starts, you’ll have a great view of the action on the field from all over the ballpark. There are very few obstructed seats here at Tempe Diablo Stadium, and if you’re looking for a different view, you can walk around the concourse and find somewhere else to sit. The Tempe Diablo Stadium Picnic Area is an especially great place to relocate to as it offers an excellent view as well as picnic tables and concessions.

Autographs

Inside the ballpark, you can typically get autographs from the players by hanging out down the outfield lines. Visiting team players tend to be found down the left field line between the dugout and grandstand, while the Angels players are located down the right-field line. You can also catch Angels players between the practice field and the stadium after batting practice. For a 1:05 game time, try and be in the area between the practice field and stadium between 11:15 and 11:30 to get the most autographs possible.

Take a minute to look at the pennants hanging from the press box’s facade to remember your favorite moments in Angels history. The pennants celebrate the Angels wild card championships and division championships as well as the club’s 2002 World Series title.

Angels Team Shop

Picnic Area

The Tempe Diablo Stadium Picnic Area is a great place to have a snack or grab a drink. The area in sections 19 and 20 offers picnic tables and concessions, so stop by and enjoy a snack.
