Mercer may be one of the newest football programs in Division I, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have a fantastic time tailgating before a Bears game. The university has gone all out to create a fun tailgating surrounding game days and tailgating is allowed pretty much anywhere on campus. Everywhere you look you’ll see Bears fans tailgating before the game, so come out and set up the tent, grill, and cooler for a fun day of tailgating.

While at Mercer you can tailgate almost anywhere, there is no better place to tailgate than Cruz Plaza. Cruz Plaza is located at the center of campus and is where you’ll find the majority of students tailgating on Saturdays in the fall. If you want to get the full tailgating experience, then there is no better place to do so than Cruz Plaza.

Additionally, Bears fans won’t want to miss The Bear Walk before the game. The Bear Walk is a must-see for any Mercer fan and gives you a fantastic opportunity to see your favorite players up close. There is no better way to get into the Mercer game day spirit than by attending The Bear Walk, so make sure to check it out before the game.

Mercer is home to an emerging football program and tailgating scene making it an incredible place to take in a game, so come on out and tailgate with die hard Bears fans this season.

Bear Statue

Snap a picture with the bronze bear statue outside of Five Star Stadium. The statue presents an excellent photo op and is a must-see for any Bears fan, so don’t miss it during your trip to Mercer.

The Bear Walk is one of the best parts of tailgating before a Mercer football game. It gives fans a fantastic opportunity to see their favorite players up close and provide them with some last minute inspiration, making it a can’t miss.
