In Game
In its first year of operation, Target Field was ranked as the number one baseball stadium experience in North America by ESPN The Magazine, and with good reason. The Twins put a lot of time and effort into creating arguably the best ballpark in the country, and it shows.
The fan-friendly park features many amenities and extras that will have any baseball fan wanting to come back soon. The stadium features excellent sightlines, comfortable seating, and tons of great food options. It even has a warming shelter, which is a great addition on colder days.
Target Field also has many quirks as well, making it an interesting as well as comfortable stadium. These quirks include knotholes – small holes around the park so fans without tickets can peek through and watch the game – as well as a bonfire area in the left-field Budweiser Porch, the only of its kind in the MLB.
You’ll have an incredible time taking in a game at Target Field, which is one of the premier baseball stadiums in the entire country.
Things to check out
Twins Team Store
If you want to pick up a souvenir from your trip to the Twin Cities, then there is no better place to do so than the Twins Team Store. Here you’ll find a wide variety of Twins gear ranging from hats to t-shirts to jerseys and much more.
Limestone
Target Field prominently features Minnesota limestone as a design component. All around the stadium you’ll see limestone features, which give Target Field a unique look.
Minnie and Paul
Proudly showcased in the center field is the original Twins logo featuring Minnie and Paul. Throughout the game, they light up and shake hands depending upon what’s happening. When the Twins score (aside from a home run) the strobe lights trace the border signifying a player running around the bases; each strikeout the corners flash to portray the strike zone; after a home run, the strobe lights flash, Minnie and Paul shake hands, and the Mississippi River flows. There're a couple of others so pay attention to Minnie and Paul throughout the game.
Retired Numbers
Hanging in left field are the numbers of the greatest players in Twins history as well as baseball pioneer Jackie Robinson. The numbers honor greats such as Harmon Killebrew, Rod Carew, and Kirby Puckett, so take them in during your visit to Target Field.
AZ Canteen
“Bizarre Foods” host Andrew Zimmern has his take on ballpark food and AZ Canteen is it. Be sure to check out some of the unique dishes they offer, such as the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich
2 Gingers Pub
The main attraction in this pub is Twins organist Sue Nelson who can often be seen interacting with fans when she’s not riling up the crowd
TC Bear
Keep an eye out for TC Bear throughout the game. The Twins mascot TC gets into all kinds of shenanigans during games, which you won’t want to miss during your time at Target Field.

Let's Go Crazy
This hit by Prince is played after Twins home runs
Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
To get through this thing called lifeElectric word life
It means forever and that’s a mighty long time
But I’m here to tell you
There’s something else
The afterworldA world of never ending happiness
You can always see the sun, day or nightSo when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills
You know the one – Dr Everything’ll Be Alright
Instead of asking him how much of your time is left
Ask him how much of your mind, baby‘Cause in this life
Things are much harder than in the afterworld
In this life
You’re on your ownAnd if the elevator tries to bring you down
Go crazy – punch a higher floorIf you don’t like the world you’re living in
Take a look around you
At least you got friendsYou see I called my old lady
For a friendly word
She picked up the phone
Dropped it on the floor
Uh uh was all I heardAre we gonna let the elevator
Bring us down
Oh, no Let’s Go!Let’s go crazy
Let’s get nuts
Let’s look for the purple banana
‘Til they put us in the truck, let’s go!We’re all excited
But we don’t know why
Maybe it’s cause
We’re all gonna dieAnd when we do (When we do)
What’s it all for (What’s it all for)
U better live now
Before the grim reaper come knocking on your doorTell me, are we gonna let the elevator bring us down
Oh, no let’s go!Let’s go crazy
Let’s get nuts
Look for the purple banana
‘Til they put us in the truck, let’s go!C’mon baby
Let’s get nuts
YeahAre we gonna let the elevator bring us down
Oh, no let’s go!
Go crazyI said let’s go crazy (Go crazy)
Let’s go, let’s go
Go
Let’s goDr. Everything’ll be alright
Will make everything go wrong
Pills and thrills and dafodills will kill
Hang tough childrenHe’s coming
He’s coming
ComingTake me away!

Beautiful Day
Made popular by U2, this song is played after wins in Target Field
The heart is a bloom
Shoots up through the stony ground
There’s no room
No space to rent in this townYou’re out of luck
And the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck
And you’re not moving anywhereYou thought you’d found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for graceIt’s a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It’s a beautiful day
Don’t let it get awayYou’re on the road
But you’ve got no destination
You’re in the mud
In the maze of her imaginationYou love this town
Even if that doesn’t ring true
You’ve been all over
And it’s been all over youIt’s a beautiful day
Don’t let it get away
It’s a beautiful dayTouch me
Take me to that other place
Teach me
I know I’m not a hopeless caseSee the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came outIt was a beautiful day
Don’t let it get away
Beautiful dayTouch me
Take me to that other place
Reach me
I know I’m not a hopeless caseWhat you don’t have you don’t need it now
What you don’t know you can feel it somehow
What you don’t have you don’t need it now
Don’t need it now
Was a beautiful day -
