Rivalries & Top Games to Attend

Predators vs Stars

Rival Team: Dallas Stars

The Predators rivalry with the Stars is just getting off the ground. If both teams could make the playoffs these next few years, then things could really heat up and create one of the best rivalries in the Central Division.

Predators vs Blackhawks

Rival Team: Chicago Blackhawks

The Predators rivalry with the Blackhawks is very one-sided. However that doesn’t mean you won’t find an outstanding crowd when attending a Preds-Hawks game. In recent years, the Predators have made efforts to keep the Blackhawks fans out of Bridgestone Arena with their “Keep the Red Out” campaign, which has helped create a great in-game atmosphere for these games. If you want to see Bridgestone Arena at its best, then it doesn’t get any better than a Preds-Hawks game.

Predators Stadium Guide

In Game

The Predators are one of the best-supported NHL teams in a non-traditional market, which can largely be attributed to the team’s ability to put together a good game day experience. They pull out all the stops to put on a great production and provide an experience that even non-hockey fans will love.

One of the things that make attending a game at Bridgestone Arena an excellent experience is the wide variety of cuisine available at the concession stands. Here you’ll find everything from cheddar cheese dogs to Tex-Mex to pizza to brisket chili nachos. Barbecue and brisket, in particular, is a big part of Tennesee culture so make sure to try some brisket during your trip to Bridgestone Arena.

In addition to the great selection of food available to you, there is also a lively atmosphere at a Predators game. Over the past few years, several traditions have been fostered and developed by the teams and fans including fang fingers and the fans “Standing O.” Join in on all the fun Predators traditions to get the most out of your trip to Nashville.

Finally, the area around Bridgestone Arena goes a long way in making attending a Predators game a special experience. The arena is located right on Broadway, so you’ll be at the heart of all things going on in Nashville. There are plenty of honky tonk bars in the area to check out, so don’t hesitate to make a weekend of it when coming to see the Predators from out of town.

Things to check out

Bridgestone Arena Tower

The Bridgestone Arena Tower, located at the main entrance on Broadway, is home to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, Nashville Visitor’s Center, and an XM Radio Studio. Stop by the Arena Tower to check out any of these three.

Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame

The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame is a must-see for sports fans and allows fans to see tributes and exhibits dedicated to the greatest players and teams in Tennessee history. The Hall of Fame only costs $3 and is a great experience no matter what your favorite sport.

Ford Bandstand

See local bands before the game and during intermission at the Ford Bandstand. The bandstand is located at the north end of the arena and does an excellent job of giving Bridgestone Arena a uniquely Music City feel.

Goal Zone

Goal Zone in the upper deck is a great place to congregate with friends during the game. Here you’ll find tables making it a great place to eat during intermission.

Gold Walk

At select games the Predators roll out the gold carpet for their fans. The Gold Walk allows fans to enter the game on the gold carpet as their cheered on creating a unique experience. Attend a Gold Saturday game for your chance to walk the gold carpet before the game.

Fight Songs

  1. I Like, It I Love It

    Predators goal song

    Spent forty-eight dollars
Last night at the county fair,
    I throwed out my shoulder
But I won her that teddy bear.
    She’s got me saying
    Sugar-pie, honey, darlin’, and dear,
    I ain’t seen the braves
    Play a game all year.
    I’m gonna get fired,
If I don’t get some sleep,
    My long lost buddies
Say I’m gettin’ in to deep.

But I like it, I love it,
I want some more of it,
    I try so hard,
    I can’t rise about it.
    Don’t know what it is
    ‘Bout that little gal’s lovin’,
But I like it, I love it,
I want some more of it.

    My Mama and Daddy
    Tried to teach me courtesy,
    But it never sank in
‘Til that girl got a hold of me.
    Now I’m holding unbrellas
    And openin’ up doors,
    I’m taking out the trash
    And I’m sweepin’ my floors.
    Crossin’ my fingers,
    And countin’ every kiss,
    Prayin’ that it keeps
    Goin’ on like this.

But I like it, I love it,
I want some more of it,
    I try so hard,
    I can’t rise about it.
    Don’t know what it is
    ‘Bout that little gal’s lovin’,
But I like it, I love it,
I want some more of it.

Got to wash my truck and dress up
To pick her up to watch tv.
And she sits down on the sofa,
    She’ll move a little closer…
She can’t get enough of me.

And I like it, I love it,
I want some more of it,
    I try so hard,
    I can’t rise about it.
    Don’t know what it is
    ‘Bout that little gal’s lovin’,
But I like it, I love it,
I want some more of it.

    Come on baby..

    You knoooow what I like…

    Yeah.. I like that…

    MMmmmmm… MMmmmm… MMmmm

Hey… Don’t forget to turn out the lights…

  2. “You Suck” Chant

Following Preds goals fans chant “you suck” at the opposing team’s goalie.
