In addition to the history and aura surrounding The Garden, the Rangers also put on an excellent in-game experience. The Rangers pregame video will send chills down your spine and bring you to your feet as you wait for the team to take the ice. You’ll also find that the atmosphere at MSG doesn’t feature any of the gimmicks you’ll see at other venues, but they don’t need them since a trip to The Garden is a special experience in its own right.

The fans are also a big part of what makes attending a game at MSG a must-see proposition for hockey fans. The Rangers have been around since 1926 and as a result, have built an impressive following of knowledgeable and diehard fans. Garden 366 wraps around the entire MSG concourse and displays a thrilling moment in the arena’s history for each day of the year. The exhibit does an excellent job of showcasing the arena’s history, so make sure to check it out during your visit to The Garden.

20 Defining Moments

The 20 Defining Moments exhibit inside Madison Square Garden shows off the biggest and best moments in the arena’s history. The exhibit displays photos and memorabilia from the events and is must see for any history or sports buff.

Sky Bridges

The sky bridges at MSG allow you to be right over the action. The bridges offer an incredible one of a kind view of the action on the court, making them a must-see for any visiting fan.

Garden Vision

MSG’s state of the art scoreboard will blow you away. It even offers mini-scoreboards underneath, so you won’t have to strain your neck when sitting courtside.

Carnegie Deli

One of the best aspects of visiting MSG, is the incredible food that’s available to you. Carnegie Deli is one of the most popular stands inside the arena, and a must try for anyone making the trip to MSG. Be sure to try their Pastrami sandwich as it's especially fantastic.

Championship and Retired Number Banners

Hanging from the fabled rafters of Madison Square Garden you’ll see banners honoring all the great Knicks and Rangers players and teams of the past. Make sure to snap a picture of these awesome banners during your visit.

MSG All Access Tour

Don’t miss your chance to see the ins and outs of the World’s Most Famous Arena. Tours run daily from 9:30 am to 3:00 so arrive early to take the tour and make a day of it in Midtown Manhattan.

Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award

Each season the Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award is awarded to the Ranger player who goes the extra mile. The award is named after paralyzed police officer Steven McDonald and is given out at the end of the season, so if you’re at the game then make sure to be in your seat for this moving ceremony.

    During games, a Rangers fan starts the “Potvin Sucks” chant by whistling. After the whistle everyone chants “Potvin Sucks.” Join in on this fun chant to show your distaste for the Islanders.
