History

Located in downtown Norfolk, Virginia, Harbor Park is the home of the Norfolk Tides. The 11,856-seat baseball stadium opened in 1993 and cost $16 million to build. The ballpark was once rated the best stadium in Minor League Baseball by Baseball America and is 333 ft to left field, 400 ft to center, and 318 ft to right field.

Harbor Park features 9,000 lower deck seats, 2,800 upper deck seats, and a 300 person picnic area. The ballpark is also home to 24 luxury suites and a 225-seat full-service restaurant. Additionally, a 400 person party deck was added to Harbor Park in 2009.

Since opening, Harbor Park has been the site of many notable events. In 2007, Harbor Park hosted an exhibition game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals. A little over a year later, Barack Obama held a campaign rally at Harbor Park on October 28, 2008.
