History

The 15,261 seat Bryce Jordan Center is the home of Penn State’s men’s and women’s basketball teams. The arena opened in 1996 and is named after former Penn State University president Bryce Jordan. At the time, it cost $52.7 million to build.

Recently, the Bryce Jordan Center underwent a minor upgrade when ANC Sports installed 960 ft of ribbon boards in 2008.

In addition to being the home of the Penn State basketball teams, the Bryce Jordan Center has hosted numerous WWE events and concerts over the years. Some of the acts to perform at the Bryce Jordan Center include Britney Spears, Aerosmith, The Dave Matthews Band, and Lady Gaga.
