Rivalries & Top Games to Attend

Steelers vs Brown

Rival Team: Cleveland Browns

The Steelers-Browns rivalry dates back to 1950 and is the oldest rivalry in the AFC. The rivalry between these two teams developed not only due to the proximity of Pittsburgh and Cleveland but also do to the similarities between both of these cities. The Steelers lead the all-time series 68-58 and will look to increase that lead when the two teams meet twice this season.

Steelers vs Ravens

Rival Team: Baltimore Ravens

The Steelers’ rivalry with the Ravens is a relatively new one. However, that doesn’t stop it from being one of the fiercest in the NFL. The rivalry between these two teams dates back to 1996 when the Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore to fill the vacancy left by the Colts when they moved to Indianapolis. These two foes have squared off against each other in many big games as they’ve met in the playoffs four times over the last fourteen seasons. The Steelers lead the all-time series 24-18 and hold a 3-1 lead in the postseason.

Steelers vs Bengals

Rival Team: Cincinnati Bengals

The rivalry between the Steelers and Bengals began in 1970 when the Steelers moved over to the AFC along with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Colts. The two teams have played in the same division since 1970, first the AFC Central then since 2002 the AFC North, which has led these two teams developing quite the distaste for each other. The Steelers lead the all-time series 56-34 and won the only postseason meeting between these two teams 31-17 in 2006.

Steelers vs Cowboys

Rival Team: Dallas Cowboys

The Steelers-Cowboys rivalry is one of the most unique rivalries in the NFL in that the two teams play in separate conferences, the Steelers in the AFC and the Cowboys in the NFC. The rivalry dates back to 1960 when the Cowboys played their first ever game against the Steelers, with the final score being 35-28 Steelers. The rivalry between these two teams took off in the 70s when the Steelers and Cowboys met in the Super Bowl twice. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 16-15. However, the Steelers hold the edge in the Super Bowl having gone 2-1 against the Cowboys all-time on the sport's largest stage.
