1. Marching Storm Band
The Marching Storm Band is a must-see part of any Prairie View A&M football game. The band is one of the best around, and their performances are worth the price of admission all on their own. You may come to a Prairie View A&M game for the football, but you’ll stay for the Marching Storm Band.
2. Panther Dolls
The Marching Storm Band isn’t the only group that puts on a show-stopping performance, the Panther Dolls are also fantastic. The Panther Dolls will dazzle you with their routines all throughout the game, so take notice when they take center stage.

The State Fair Classic takes place during the Texas State Fair and pits the Grambling Tigers against the Prairie View A&M Panthers. The game is contested at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas and dates back to 1925. However, the game has only regularly been contested between Grambling State and Prairie View A&M since the mid-1980s. You won’t want to miss the State Fair Classic, so make sure to be in attendance when the Tigers and Panthers square off.
4. PVAMU Cheerleaders

You won’t find a better time to come out to Prairie View for a football game than the Labor Day Classic. The Labor Day Classic between the Prairie View A&M Panthers and Texas Southern Tigers has been played every year since 1947, and the winner of the contest takes home the Durley-Nicks Trophy. Texas Southern may lead the all-time series 44-27-1, but you won’t want to miss it as the Panthers try to narrow the gap.
7. Mascot
Fans, especially young fans, love the Panthers’ mascot, so keep an eye out for him at the game. The mascot gets into all kinds of antics during the game and if you see him on the concourse make sure to give him a high five.
