Perhaps the biggest series between the Spurs and Mavs occurred in 2006 when the Mavericks defeated the Spurs four games to three to advance to the Western Conference Finals. The Spurs-Rockets rivalry is one of the fiercest in the Southwest Division and dates back to the NBA-ABA merger in 1976. These two Texas-based rivals have met in the playoffs three times with the Rocket getting the better of the Spurs all three times. There’s always a lot on the line when the Spurs and Rockets meet up, so don’t miss it.

The Spurs and Suns have met in the playoffs ten times since 1992, which has led to the development of a deep-rooted hatred between these two Western Conference teams. In the early 90s, the Suns got the best of The Admiral and the Spurs. However, a decade later the Spurs would get their revenge as they stopped the Steve Nash-led Suns dead in their track a few times in the mid to late 2000s.
