Atmosphere

If you want to get the full experience of attending a Southeastern Louisiana Lions football game, then arrive early and enjoy the tailgating atmosphere. Tailgating is a huge part of the football culture in Louisiana, and it’s no different in Hammond as the fans come out in large numbers to tailgate before the game. Everywhere you look inside Friendship Circle you’ll see Lions fans grilling and throwing back drinks with their friends and family.

Even if you aren’t in the Friendship Circle, there is still plenty of tailgating fun to be had thanks to Southeastern Louisiana’s open tailgating policy. Just set up your tent and grill pretty much anywhere on campus to get a raging tailgate party going.

In addition to the incredible tailgating action, you also won’t want to miss the Lion Walk before the game. The Lion Walk takes place two and a half hours before the game starts and gives you a chance to see all your favorite players before the game.

The pregame atmosphere at Southeastern Louisiana is superb, so come out early and enjoy a full day of tailgating before a Lions game.
