Traditions
Jaguar Cage
Southern used to have a live Jaguar mascot named Lacumba on campus. However, he died of natural causes in 2004. While Lacumba II was never replaced, you can still see the jaguar cage outside Ace W. Mumford Stadium.
Homecoming Parade
There is no better time to attend a Southern game than homecoming. Alumni from all over the country come back to Southern University to enjoy the homecoming parade making it a must-see for any Jaguars fan. The parade is also the perfect way to kick off game day, so arrive early and enjoy the parade before the homecoming game.

RV LotsIf you’re bringing an RV or an oversized vehicle, then the RV lots are the place for you. Just make sure that you're not bringing a motorhome or fifth-wheeler as they’re not permitted in the RV lots.
