History

Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri is the home of the Texas League’s Springfield Cardinals. The $32 million ballpark opened in 2004, and it holds a capacity of 10,486. Hammons Field is named after stadium benefactor John Q. Hammons and is 315 ft to left field, 400 ft to center field, and 330 ft to right field.

In addition to being the home of the Springfield Cardinals, Hammons Field is also the home of the Missouri State Bears baseball team. The ballpark also served as the site of the Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournament in 2004, 2007, and 2011.
