Atmosphere
The tailgate scene surrounding the Talladega Superspeedway is one big party, so come prepared to let loose when traveling to ‘Dega. Tailgating isn’t just a one day, or even weekend, event at Talladega as fans come for the entire week leading up to the main event on Sunday. Everywhere you look, you’ll see people grilling out, drinking, beer, and having a good time when attending a race week at Talladega.
One of the best places to camp for the race is the infield. The infield at Talladega Superspeedway opens on Wednesday and is where you’ll find a lot of the wildest and most fun parties during the week. The fans in the infield love racing and party hard from Wednesday throughout the race, so if you like getting rowdy, then the infield is the place for you.
Another place where you’ll find a lot of hard partying is the free camping areas. The fans in the Geico North Park go especially hard as there are no quiet hours in that campsite meaning you can party to your heart’s content.
Don’t worry though if you’re looking for a more family-friendly atmosphere as there are several family and alcohol-free campsites as well. No matter how wild or mild you want to go, you’ll find a campsite to fit your needs when attending a race at the Talladega Superspeedway.
In addition to a lot of camping options, the Talladega Superspeedway also offers a lot of pre-race entertainment. The Big One on the Boulevard is a huge Friday night party that anyone who wants to get into the swing of things won’t want to miss. The Saturday Night Infield Concert is also a can’t miss part of the weekend and typically features a big name act, so don’t miss it either.
Before the race also take some time to get up close with your favorite drivers and racing teams. The Pre-Race Pit Pass and the Pre-Race Pit Pass Upgrade give you access to your favorite teams and drivers before the race, so make sure to get one to get the most out of your weekend.
The Talladega Superspeedway is home to the biggest party in NASCAR and is the perfect place for any NASCAR fan who loves to party.
