History

The 7,000-seat College Park Center is the home of the UT-Arlington Mavericks basketball and volleyball teams. The facility cost $78 million to build and opened in 2012. The College Park Center replaced Texas Hall as the home of the Mavericks men’s basketball team and is part of the College Park District, which is home to UT-Arlington student housing, The Green at College Park, and several restaurants.

The College Park Center features a 2,800 sq ft hospitality suite, a 13 ft by nine ft center-hung scoreboard, an 11 ft by 19 ft end scoreboard, and a sports medicine and training facility.

The UT-Mavericks men’s and women’s basketball teams both opened the College Park Center with victories over UTSA on February 1, 2012. More recently, the College Park Center became the home of the WNBA’s Dallas Wings in 2016.
