2. 2008 National Championship Banner

Check out the 2008 National Championship banner to remember the greatest team in Richmond Spiders football history. The banner is a must-see for Spiders fans and an excellent reminder of the incredible 2008 team.

3. Capital Cup

The Capital Cup is awarded to the winner of the annual rivalry game between Richmond and William & Mary. The Spiders and Tribe’s’ rivalry dates back to 1898 and is the third most played rivalry in college football. The Tribe hold a slim 62-60-5 lead in the rivalry, and the Capital Cup is one of the best rivalries in the CAA, so don’t miss it when Richmond takes on William & Mary.

4. The Web

If you want to be a part of the loudest and rowdiest group of fans at any Spiders game, then join The Web. The student section at Richmond is unbelievable and gives the Spiders an incredible home field advantage. Even if you’re not a student, enjoy the cheers and chants provided by The Web during your visit to the Robins Stadium.

5. Sticky Situation

The Richmond pep band, known as the Sticky Situation, will rock your world. The Sticky Situations performs a variety of contemporary songs as well as school songs and are one of the best parts of any Spiders football game, so enjoy their performance throughout the game.

6. Family Fun Zone

Richmond Spiders games feature plenty of kids entertainment including face painting, bouncy houses, balloon animals, and much more. The Fun Zone will keep any kid entertained throughout the game, so stop by and enjoy it before and during the game.

7. Spider Shop

Those of you who want to pick up a souvenir from your trip to Richmond will want to stop by the Spider Shop. The Spider Shop, located on the West Concourse, sells all kinds of Richmond merchandise including t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and much more.

8. Cheerleaders

Nobody cheers on the Spiders quite like the Richmond cheerleaders, so join in their cheers when you see them take the court. The cheerleaders perform some incredible routines you won’t want to miss making them a must-see part of any Spiders game.

9. Richmond-VMI Rivalry

The rivalry between Richmond and nearby VMI began in 1893. Early on the Keydets dominated winning 12 of the first 14 matches, but since then the Spiders have exacted their revenge and now lead the all-time series 45-40-5. Come out and watch the Spiders extend their lead when these two Virginia-based rivals square off.

10. Lots B3 and B5

If you want to enjoy alcoholic beverages at your tailgate, then make sure to get a spot in Lot B3 or B5. These are the only two lots that allow alcohol at tailgates making them a favorite among Spiders fans.
