Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia are only 136 miles apart meaning you’ll encounter fans of both teams when the Wizards and 76ers clash. The two cities also have strong rivalries in the NFL, NHL, and MLB, so you can count on there being bad blood between these two fan bases when they get together.
The Hornets are the closest team in the Southeast Division to the Wizards, so you’ll find plenty of fans who make the trip to these matchups. The rivalry may not be super intense at the moment as both teams are relatively young, but look for this rivalry to kick up in the next few years.
Wizards fans hatred for the Cavs stems from the fact Cleveland has knocked the Wizards out of the playoffs on multiple occasions. Despite the fact the rivalry is one-sided, Wizards fans still hate the Cavs and will make their dislike for them well known during Wizards-Cavs games. If you want to experience a hostile crowd at the Verizon Center, then get tickets when the Cavs are in town.
