Rivalries & Top Games to Attend

Jets vs Oilers

Rival Team: Edmonton Oilers

The Jets and Oilers rivalry goes back to the WHA and 1972. The Jets dominated the Oilers in the early going winning three AVCO Cups, but once the teams joined the NHL the tables turned with the Oilers becoming a dynasty. The two teams haven’t met in the playoffs in a long time, but that doesn’t mean these two Canadian fan bases don’t have a strong dislike for each other.

Jets vs Wild

Rival Team: Minnesota Wild

The Jets and Wild have only been in the same division since the 2013-14 season, but they are already starting to build a strong rivalry. The two teams are yet to meet in the playoffs but once they do the gloves will be off. The Wild are also the closest team to Winnipeg geographically, so you’ll encounter plenty of fans of both teams at the arena making Jets-Wild games some of the best of the season.

Oh can’t you see me standing here,
I’ve got my back against the record machine
    I ain’t the worst that you’ve seen.
Oh can’t you see what I mean?
