Located in Sparta, Kentucky, the Kentucky Speedway is a 1.5-mile tri-oval speedway that can hold a capacity of 107,000. The speedway opened in 2000 and cost $153 million to build. The track is most well-known for being the site of the NASCAR Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts.
The Kentucky Speedway opened with a Slim Jim All Pro Series event on June 16, 2000, and later that year hosted an IndyCar race in August. More recently, the speedway hosted its first NASCAR Cup Series race in 2011.
